Whenever Sofia starts to fuss and I know she's ready for a nap, I have this little routine I do with her. I hold her against me cheek to cheek and I sing to her while I pace back and forth or rock her in place. I sing whatever comes to my head. I love to sing to her "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston. LOL! She likes it! She just listens to me in a daze and smiles in return sometimes. I wonder if she understands the words? LOL Not very age appropriate but ah well... she digs it! haha [edit] Hubby just heard me playing this song and he's like, "You playing her song?" haha! See? I sing it to her so much it's become just that. Her song. She knows Mommy sings it to her. =) [/edit]
Sofia: "Peace, YOH!"
something about a baby laughing that just is so irresistible! It's almost healing... I can't describe it! I can't wait to hear my Sofia's first baby laugh... *awwwwww*
I finally found something online that kind of resembles the colors I want in the baby's room.

OH, now here's another color combination I had in mind! (pink and blue). I think it's the most cutest combination too. Ahhh! I'm so glad we have time... this is gonna be so hard... I'll have to ask my sister's opinion too.

My family rocks, I swear! I got a box in the mail today. I opened it and squeemed in delight to see baby stuff in it from my best friend, Andrea. She got the baby his first bibs, burping pads and baby gowns. *tehehe* They're absolutely ADORABLE! I didn't want to
start buying baby stuff until the end of my third month but it's almost over with soon and well, all these are gifts so... they're very special! We don't plan to go out shopping ourselves for stuff out of our own pocked till a few weeks from now. But it's nice to already have started a little collection for the baby. I need to get a cute big basket to put his stuff in it since we haven't bought the baby furniture yet. =)She also sent me a new DVD set of She-Ra cartoons. I can't wait to watch them! I'm so spoiled... AND my sister gave her some of her maternity blouses to send in the box so I have about 5 maternity blouses already... some I have to wait to wear until I'm a little further along and the belly grows but a few I can wear now. Thank GOD! I'll be wearing them for sure! Thanks SISTA! Thanks, ANDREA! I'm loved by my family... they're so sweet... It's nice to be thought of even though we're so far apart... I love and miss you guys...
I surfed online for the first time ever for baby cribs. I looked and looked and fell in love with this one. I totally dig it! I showed it to hubby and he likes it too. I like it cause it's doesn't look like the typical baby crib out there. It's kind of round and different. =) I bookmarked it! When the time comes, that's what we're getting. Of course, that's if I don't find something else I like more... still got 6 months to go... but yeah... just to get an idea of what I want... I likey!
haha! Don't they look tasty!? Ok... maybe not, but the skittles do! *tehehe* I bought a bag of skittles the day we went to watch, "300" and I had some leftover so when it was time to refill my pill box, I threw a skittle in each one! bwahahaha A skittle a day doesn't hurt! *giggles*
In case you're wondering what each pill is, let me tell ya. The little flat green pills are the estriodol pills. I have to take them twice a day to help keep my uterus nice and thick for the baby. The big FAT yellow pill is the prenatal vitamins they give me at the hospital. The red gelly pill is a new pill I'm trying out for the baby. They gave me a small box of "Expecta Lipil" by Enfamil at our OB orientation appointment last week. It's a DHA supplement that helps with the development of the baby's eyes and brain. I only got 6 pills in the box but I might just go and buy some more. They didn't make me feel sick or anything so I might continue to take them... and the colorful pills you see are none other than [Tropical flavored] Skittles! Makes it a little more fun! *hehehe* Anyway... this is what I'm taking daily... What fun, huh!? Before I got pregnant I was so bad at taking vitamins and stuff but now, I am doing it all for the baby... *wink*
Wow... I just wanted to make a special post to all of those people who left me a comment on my prior entry about our first ultrasound. I'm sorry the clarity on the ultrasound image didn't come out very good but our camera doesn't zoom in very well. You can definitely see a baby in there though! =) Thank you guys again sooooo soooooo much for the lovely comments. It really means a lot to us and we feel all 'du luv! We really do. Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU! =)
So yesterday I had my first "morning sickness" feeling. I've been feeling nauseous for a long time now but not to the point where I was dry heaving and running to the bathroom with my hand over my mouth! And it sucks because once I get to the bathroom, I don't throw up... it's just that NASTY feeling like I have to. Grrr... I had it a few minutes ago too... it got so bad, I had tears running down my eyes! It's not fun. But I guess that's a good sign? =/
Yesterday the hubby and I went to the store and bought me some bagels, cream cheese and some other goodies [cravings] for me to eat when I do get hungry. I had half a bagel this morning. So I'm eating better. Let's just hope it stays down and this throwing up/morning sickness skips this pregnant woman! LOL Other than that, been very tired...
*le sigh* Tomorrow's my first OB appointment... I'll let you know how that goes too. =)
